The Caesar Creek area is a rural area. Waynesville is the largest town in the area. Besides the recreational activities on and around the lake there are other activities to enjoy. The following is a short list of area attractions.

• Sauerkraut Festival (Waynesville fall festival)
• Antiques, Antiques, Antiques (Waynesville calls itself the antique capital of the Midwest)
• Renaissance Fair
• Caesar Creek Flea Market
• Little Miami Bike Trail (Excellent Bike/Roller Blade/Walking path - Crosses the tailwaters at the lower end)
• Spring Valley Wildlife Area
• Spring Valley Target Range (Shotgun, Rifle, Archery)
